Make Your Event Family Friendly

Online ticketing platform

If you make your event family friendly it can serve many purposes: parents don’t have to worry about getting someone to mind the kids, and it can also help your event attendees spend some quality time with their kids, and create some memories. Here are some tips on making your event family friendly:

Venue:
The venue that you choose will need to appeal to many different ages and interests. Look for venues that have hosted similar events in the past, and ones that have facilities that will cater for families, such as a pool, playroom, or park. You may also like to check out with the local tourism centre about what attractions are in the area that families can take advantage of in down time.

Meetings:
If this is a work event where meetings will be held, it’s a good idea to make sure you provide child care during these meetings, to put the minds of parents at ease, and to keep the kids entertained.

Treats:
You can make the children feel welcome by offering them fun things, such as treat bags, and also having some fun kids events such as a ‘mocktail’ party, games etc. You will need to remember though that you will need to cater for all ages.

Family Time:
Work is usually a big reason why families spend less quality time together. To help counteract this, allow some time for families to reconnect and create some happy memories together. You can do this by scheduling meetings in the mornings and leaving afternoons free, or vice versa.

Your event can do many things such as educate staff, reward them, train them etc. Giving your staff time to spend with their families though to create fun times and happy memories, is one of the best and most rewarding things you can do, and a sure fire way to get everyone coming to your event!
